Thermal insulation
The aluminum windows we manufacture, with thermal break, are more energy efficient than PVC windows.
Acoustic insulation
The sound insulation is identical in both materials, both aluminum and PVC.
Fire resistance
Despite the internal galvanized steel reinforcement, PVC is a more vulnerable material than aluminium in the event of a fire. Aluminum is a non-flammable material.
Salt / Sea Resistance
For your project less than 5 km from the sea, aluminum frames are less resistant to corrosion from the sea than PVC frames. For greater strength, you should also choose the right fittings and accessories.
Resistance to deformations
Aluminum frames allow for larger dimensions than PVC frames, as they are more resistant to deformation.
Durability
Aluminum is a more durable and resistant material than PVC.
Security
Aluminum frames combined with the right glass are less vulnerable to damage than PVC. For added security, there is the possibility of having a PVC system in which the glass is glued to the frame.
Sustainability
Aluminum is a metal that is easy to repair and recycle. PVC window frames, on the other hand, although recyclable, are not 100% biodegradable.
Aesthetics
Aluminum profiles are thinner than PVC profiles. More versatile in aesthetic terms, they are suitable for minimalist or traditional environments.
Cost
White PVC frames are cheaper than aluminum frames. However, if you want to customize the finishes and colors, the price is the same as aluminum
Casement
The window or door sash is attached to one or more sides and opens inwards or outwards.
Tilt and Turn
The window or door sash can be opened like a normal casement or by tilting it at the bottom to allow ventilation from the top, while keeping the bottom closed, allowing ventilation without fully opening the window.
Sliding
The sash slides on a track and can open fully or only partially.
Awning Window
The awning window is hinged at the top and opens outward from the bottom, providing controlled ventilation and protection from rain.
Sash
The sash slides vertically in two halves and can be raised or lowered.
Pivoting
The leaf is fixed on a central axis and pivots around it, opening inward or outward.
Bi-fold
The sash is divided into several parts that fold onto themselves, allowing the window or door to be partially or fully opened.

Thermal break
Thermal break is a feature that prevents heat or cold from passing from the outside to the inside or vice versa. It is therefore a very important variable for the energy efficiency of your window frames.
Energy Rating
The energy ratings range from A+ (most energy efficient) to G (least energy efficient). Choose a frame with a high rating to maximize energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
Uw value
The Uw value is a measure of the energy efficiency of the frame, i.e. the amount of heat or cold that passes through the frame. The lower the Uw value, the better your home’s thermal insulation.
CE label
The CE label for windows and doors has been compulsory since July 1, 2013 for all manufacturers of these products in the European Economic Area. The frames must be duly marked with this label, with reference to the Portuguese standard NP EN 14351-1.

The CLASS+ label is an important system for choosing the best window frames in terms of energy performance. You can make a more informed decision and compare different offers more easily. In addition, the CLASS+ label is mandatory for some applications for state financial incentives.
Yes, we are members of the Class + label, which allows you to submit your application to the Environmental Fund.
You can also check on the Housing Portal website if your property is in an Urban Rehabilitation Area (ARU). If applicable, you can benefit from a VAT reduction on your window frames if you are covered by this program.
